How We Review

What sets The Audio Stuff apart is the method. Every piece of gear is compared head-to-head against a published reference list in its category and scored on a single 0–10 scale, so a 9.0 on a pair of headphones carries exactly the same weight as a 9.0 on a DAC. There are no first-impressions reviews and no demo-room verdicts - every unit spends a minimum of two weeks on the chain in real daily use, and typically four to eight weeks for flagship gear, tested across multiple sources and genres before a score is committed.

What We Cover

Coverage is organized into seven focused review hubs: headphones (open-back, closed-back, planar magnetic, dynamic, and IEMs), speakers (bookshelf, floorstanding, active and passive, studio monitors), DACs (desktop, portable, R-2R ladder, and delta-sigma), headphone amps, speaker amps, sources, and the accessories that connect them. Each hub is a focused archive scored on the same scale, so comparisons stay consistent across the whole catalogue.
