oruk is a speech understanding API from a research team out of Stanford and Berkeley. One API call returns transcription plus calibrated emotion (15 labels) and speaking-style (16 labels) analysis, with ~120ms time-to-first-understanding.
Benchmarked in the open: speech-emotion-bench evaluates 64 systems on 64,384 held-out clips across ~20 languages with one scoring pipeline. oruk Spectra reaches 77.6% accuracy, ahead of the best open model (68.7%) and frontier APIs like Gemini 3 Flash Preview (46.0%).
