ReturnFast

ReturnFast gives macOS something it's always been missing: a true global Back and Forward button.

Instead of switching between apps and trying to remember where you were, ReturnFast keeps a browser-style navigation history across your entire Mac. Press a keyboard shortcut to instantly return to the previous app, browser tab, Finder folder, editor file, terminal window, or workspace.

Unlike Command-Tab or Mission Control, ReturnFast remembers the actual path you took—not just a list of recent apps.

Features:

• Global Back & Forward navigation across your Mac

• Browser-style history spanning every application

• Restore Chrome and Chromium browser tabs

• Return to Finder folders

• Restore VS Code and Cursor files (including line numbers when available)

• Jump back to iTerm2 and terminal windows

• Restore Slack, Postman, and other supported applications

• Intelligent window matching and restoration

• Keyboard-first workflow designed for power users

• Lightweight native Swift menu bar app

• Privacy-first: navigation history stays on your Mac

• One-time purchase with no subscription

ReturnFast is built for developers, designers, writers, researchers, and anyone who constantly jumps between applications throughout the day.

Stop hunting for the window, tab, or file you were just using. Press Back and continue where you left off.
